Your Notification Preferences in the Agency Portal control which platform events generate alerts for you, and on which channels you receive them. Each notification type can be turned on or off independently for In-App and Email delivery, so you only get the alerts that matter to your role.
Step 1 — Open Notification Preferences from the top-right user menu
In the Agency Portal, look at the very top-right of the screen. You will see a notification bell, your name and your profile picture.
Click your profile picture (or your name) in the top-right corner.
A dropdown menu will appear with three options: My Profile, Notification Preferences and Log Out.
Click Notification Preferences.
The Profile and Settings panel will slide in from the right side of the screen with Notification Preferences selected in the left side menu.
Step 2 — Choose which alerts you want to receive

You will see a table listing every notification type available to agency users. Each row has two toggles on the right: In-App (the bell icon in the Agency Portal) and Email (delivered to the email address on your profile).
The available notification types are:
Engine version updated — agency users can change the voice engine assigned to an agency or business; when that change is made, all agency users are notified so the team stays in sync about which engine each business is running.
Engine update available — we continuously improve voice quality and agent accuracy, so when a new voice engine version is ready to install, agency users are notified so they can review and roll it out.
Onboarding form submitted — get alerted when a business submits the onboarding form.
Business status changed — get alerted when a business status switches to Active, Past Due, Inactive or Archived.
Intraoffice note added — get alerted when a note is added to a business profile, agent or agency by any agency user.
Billing started — get alerted when billing is started for a business account.
Payment charge failed — get alerted when a payment attempt for a business's monthly billing fails.
Sync failed for a business — get alerted when contact sync fails for a business integration.
Subscription cancellation — get alerted when any business subscription is cancelled.
For each notification type, click the toggle under In-App and/or Email to turn that channel on (blue) or off (grey). You can mix and match — for example, you may want Payment charge failed on both channels, but Engine update available only in-app.
Step 3 — Changes save automatically
Notification preferences save the moment you flip a toggle — there is no separate Save button. The next time the chosen event happens, you will receive the alert on the channels you enabled.
Tip: If you stop receiving expected emails, check that the email address on your My Profile tab is correct, and look in your spam folder for messages from Kickcall.
What happens next
In-app alerts appear under the bell icon in the top-right of the Agency Portal. Email alerts are sent to the address shown on your My Profile tab. You can return to Notification Preferences at any time to adjust which alerts you receive.
