The Voice Engines module is where the Agency manages the AI engines that power its businesses' agents. From here you can see every engine available to your agency, the version each engine is currently on, and apply new engine updates to existing businesses when a release becomes available.

For deep details on each engine (capabilities, language support, when to pick which one), see Business Voice Engine. This article focuses on the Agency-level Voice Engines screen and the update flow.

Available engines

Each card shows the engine name, current version, a short description, language support type, specialization and the supported languages.

  • General-Purpose — Single-language engine with 40+ languages to choose from. Highest accuracy when the business operates in one language at a time.

  • Indo — Built for the Indian-English community. Handles natural mixed conversations like Hinglish and Punjabi-English.

  • Multilingual-Purpose — Multilingual (simultaneous) engine. Auto-detects the caller's language and can switch within a call.

Only one engine can be assigned to a business at a time. Engine selection per business happens from the business's configuration screen.

Engine updates

Kickcall ships engine updates from time to time — improvements in accuracy, latency, language support, accent handling and voice quality. When a new version is released for an engine your agency uses, you'll see an Update available button on that engine's card in the Voice Engines list.

Updates are never applied automatically. The Agency stays in control of when a new version goes live for its businesses.

Review the update

Click Update available on the engine card to open the release dialog. You'll see:

  • Current Version — what your agency is on today.

  • New Version — the version being released.

  • Release Date — when the new version was published.

  • Engine Improvements — a checklist of what changed in this release (accuracy, latency, languages, accents, voice naturalness, etc.).

Read through the improvements and click Update to X.Y.Z to proceed, or Cancel to stay on the current version.

Apply the update to existing businesses

After confirming the update, Kickcall opens an Update All Businesses dialog listing every business in your agency that currently uses this engine. For each business you can see:

  • Name — the business name.

  • Engine — the engine and version it's currently running.

  • Status — whether the engine is Enabled or Disabled for that business.

By default all businesses are selected. Uncheck any business you want to leave on the older version, then click Yes, Update All to roll the new version out to the selected businesses. Click No to skip the bulk update — you can still update individual businesses later from each business's Voice Engine screen.

New customers onboarded after the update will automatically get the new version. The bulk update screen is only about your existing businesses.
