Asterisk

The Asterisk integration under the Telephony module allows agencies to connect their Asterisk PBX to configure and manage AI agents with SIP trunking through the platform. As with other providers, the page shows a badge indicating how many businesses are currently active on this integration.

The Asterisk module is organized into two tabs:

  • Configuration — for entering connection credentials and telephony settings.

  • Mapping — for mapping Twilio numbers/settings to specific businesses.

Connect Asterisk

Go to Telephony → Asterisk → Configuration Tab and paste your Asterisk credentials:

This tab is used to securely connect the telephony service using credentials and SIP configuration.

  • API Key - The unique key used to authenticate the connection to the agency's Asterisk instance.

  • Allowed Addresses - A list of IP addresses permitted to use the SIP trunk. Each entry can be an individual IP address or a Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) block.

Customize Your Telephony Service (White-Labeling)

This section allows agencies to white-label the telephony integration so that end customers see the agency's own branding instead of the default provider branding.

  • Logo - Upload area for the agency's custom logo, applied to the telephony service branding. Recommended size: 200×60px, in PNG or SVG format.

  • Display Name - The name shown to customers in place of the default provider name (e.g., "Smart Connections"). This field is required.

Note: Clicking Configure at the bottom of the page is required to save any changes made on this tab. Simply entering credentials, allowed addresses, or white-label details does not save the configuration — the Configure button must be clicked to apply and persist the changes.

Map Kickcall Businesses to Asterisk Accounts

Once connected, switch to the Mapping tab. You'll see every Kickcall business with its Asterisk account and current status. Search by business name to jump to a specific row.

  • Enabled — the business is mapped to an Asterisk account and live.

  • Configure — the business doesn't have an account yet. Click to map it.

  • Use the pencil icon to edit an existing mapping.

Sync a business domain

Sync only runs for a business that already has a mapped Asterisk account. When you edit a mapped business you'll see two tabs: Mapping (the account assignment) and Sync (extension sync between that Asterisk account and Kickcall).

Kickcall syncs only extensions from the mapped account and creates or updates them inside the business's Operator module — nothing else is pulled.

From the Sync tab you can:

  • Run Sync Now — pull the latest extensions from Asterisk immediately. Kickcall syncs only extensions and creates or updates them inside the matching business's Operator module.

  • Sync Schedule — pick an automation cadence so syncs run on their own.

  • Review past sync runs — date & time, status, duration, total records, new, updated and failed counts.
